Libris Necromanti - Entry one: Ephira - The Undying Queen.
First of all ... WOW. I don't think I've EVER given anything this much time and effort, and i think this really made off with a piece of my sanity. However, i greatly enjoyed working on it and i do mean that, despite the depressions i went through until it got done. I think the single greatest thing is that i learned an -incredible- amount while working on this, especially in its later stages. As you can see this is my first actually FULLY completed piece with an actual background etc. I know Khairn (for those of you who know me from my previous account) and Herrekar technically have backgrounds, but i think you'll agree they greatly pale before this one, and i personally cant call basic effects backgrounds so thar. ehem.
In any case, this piece took a month out of my time (note that i didn't actually work a month's worth of work hours on it, it was just the period in which it was under development) and i personally think its the single greatest thing I've done so far. The first of the Necromancer illustrations is officially done, so 12 more to go....YAY *headdesk* still i will seriously enjoy working on the rest, and in the future i may make some alterations to this picture, but for now this is IT. Also, this piece is going into my portfolio... (duh)
I am not going to reveal the lore around Ephira, however, because I've reserved that for the book. In due time, perhaps i may share it, but for now im sorry, but youre not getting anything out of me (for those of you that dont already know that is).
For the amount of time i spent working on this, i thought i would have more to say, but alas im so excited, and at the same time tired, that words escape me. All i can say is this is my little pride and joy, and im printing it to hang it up on my wall
